Grassy malt, fresh vanilla pod and a hint of dark chocolate.
Quite nutty as it opens. Soft barrel char warmth, with touches of clove alongside.

Simply spectacular. Brought one from the US to my home in Moscow, Russia and invited one of Russia's greatest experts in Scotch whiskeys to taste, alongside some from Balcones (some also fab). But this one was a home run for him. He asked me where I got it, and how soon could I organize imports? One cannot directly compare it to the top Scottish single malts in that the expression is different, but he liked it as much as his favorite Macallan. That was three years ago. Now they are aging one more year since I tasted it and I am sure the new releases are even better. Simply spectacular and opens long after your sip, morphing and releasing ever more mellow flavors on the pallet. Ambrosia.
