8 year old Mortlach single malt, drawn from a pair of bourbon barrels which were laid down in June 2008 and cracked open in May 2017. 523 bottles were produced, bottled by Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection range.
Toasted barley slowly becomes meaty and powerful, with hints of black pepper and honey.
Rye bread smothered in marmalade. Some oak-y heat develops.
Waxy orange, cinnamon and hay.
