A single first-fill barrel from 2005, matured for 20 years and bottled at a cask strength of 55.7% ABV. This Mortlach shows the distillery’s muscular waxiness but dressed in brighter, fruit-driven clothes. Just 174 bottles were drawn.
Vanilla custard, lemon oil, green orchard fruits, flower honey and soft wax.
Mouth-coating and rich with barley sugar, lemon curd, dried mango, melon and dessert wine sweetness.
Long and lemony, with a waxy texture, delicate herbs, and lingering natural sweetness.
