An impressive addition to The Cask Strength Collection from indie bottler Signatory, distilled at Mortlach in April 2007. The single malt spent 15 years maturing, including 21 months in a fresh sherry butt, which yielded a total of 687 bottles when it was opened in September 2022.
Leathery oak and cigar box spice, honeyed malt loaf, and crystalised ginger.
Sweet, spiced fruit cake, candied nuts, and drizzles of warm toffee lead to zesty marmalade and robust malt.
Bold oak builds, bringing warming pepper and cinnamon, balanced by chewy dates and sweet sultanas.
