A 13 year old single malt from the mighty Mortlach Distillery, independently bottled for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection by Signatory. The whisky was distilled back in April 2007, and allowed to mature for 13 years in a pair of hogsheads, before eventually being bottled in June 2020. As alluded to in the bottling range name, there was no chill-filtration here. None of it.
Oily barley with a prickle of peppercorn, plus Granny Smith apples and mint chocolate ice cream.
Roasted nuts, fiery ginger, grist, honeydew melon, toffee, and a smidge of sawdust.
Dry oak warmth, with orange peel and grilled pineapple.
