Description

12 year old Mortlach single malt, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. This was drawn from a single refill hogshead, which matured the whisky from June 2006 to June 2018, before being bottled at 48.4% ABV. Just 367 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Honeyed malt and nutmeg, with underlying malty chocolate hints.

Palate

Filo pastry, maple syrup, peppercorn and lingering baking spices.

Finish

Very subtly meaty, balanced by toffee and lemon.
