Mortlach 12 Year Old 2005 (cask 12219) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

A 12 year old Mortlach single malt Scotch whisky, drawn from a single cask! This was distilled by the Beast of Dufftown (as it is colloquially known) in March 2005 and bottled in December 2017 by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range with an outturn of 341 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Peppery malt with a hint of smoked meat deep within. Baked apple and toasted vanilla pod.

Palate

Cinnamon and clove, with warm rye bread and a layer of marmalade.

Finish

Red liquorice, another whack of cinnamon and a pinch of mint leaf.
