Bourbon

A fruity and spicy Mortlach, distilled in March 2008 and left to mature in a pair of first-fill bourbon barrels for just over a decade. 11 years passed, and Signatory decided to bottle the single malt in March 2019 for the Cask Strength Collection, with an outturn of 483 bottles at 57.8% ABV.
Spicy oak, walnut loaf, ripe fruit and toasted malt.
Heather honey, vanilla cream, with tropical and tangy pineapple and mango.
Malt returns on the finish alongside a pinch of cinnamon spice.

I've only had the sister casks 800071-72, but if you like your first fill bourbon speysides then get ready. Warm or grilled bananas and vanilla ice cream... maybe with ginger and grand marnier on top. If you like sweet whiskys, this could be a no brainer if the vintage/casks share sufficient DNA. The bananas are countered by sharp yet sweet ginger, and it is about as balanced and vibrant as can be at this stage.
