This was distilled at Mortlach on the 17th September 1990 and it was aged in refill sherry butt number 6069 for 20 years before bottling on the 18th January 2011. A release of 521 numbered decanter bottles from Signatory. Lovely stuff.
Hints of spent match and cocoa, smoked prune juice, raisins, walnut loaf and cooked banana.
Dates, cereal sweetness, dried apricots, marmalade, malt and black pepper.
Long and chocolate-driven, peppery and spiced.
