This single cask, single malt Scotch whisky was distilled at Miltonduff in 2009 and aged for twelve years in a Sauternes hogshead. The character from this sweet French wine certainly shines through in this unusual, fruity Speysider, which Alistair Walker bottled up for its Infrequent Flyers range. With an outturn of only 304 bottles at 58.6% ABV, this is a full-flavoured dram indeed, and one well worth savouring if you're a fan of interesting finishes!
Drizzles of caramel, cocoa nibs, earthy pepper, cloves, and fruity wine gums.
Sweet stewed fruit compote, hot chocolate and sticky fruitcake, with toasted oak and warm tobacco.
Plenty of pepper and ginger, with toasted brown bread, and apricot jam.
