A blended malt from Michel Couvreur, who gets Scotch whisky sent over to France to be aged in Sherry oak casks in Burgundy before blending. Quite unusual, but very intriguing.
Not a great taste. Very ethanoly and that’s where the flavour stops apart from the touch of smoke. I am not a fan, worst whisky I have had in quite a while. I will give it 1.5 stars but that’s generous
I'm a regular bourbon drinker, but I'm open to all whiskies. This did not disappoint. I'm very glad I bought it when I saw it. Lots of subtle notes, dried fruit, nuts, a sweet fruit, ¿maybe apricot?, and a long finish for me. Thoroughly enjoying it, a must share with good friends (not all friends).
Oustanding bottle. I very often hold myself from drinking from it because it's so damn difficult to find. I just ordered a second bottle because I can never have enough of it, and the stocks are going down. Buy if you can find, it really is liquid gold. You'll thank me later.
Imposible to open. Literally drinking off a broken neck. I hope their are no shards in there but it taste amazing. Taste like a blend but right there with some of the best
How about the 1 star review for being hard to open? Yes I admit it was difficult to open on a camping trip, but once I got the bottle open, oh my god, what an amazing tasting whiskey. This is the bottle that sent me on a whiskey obsession journey that I’m still deep in today. The best, smoothest and my interesting flavours I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking. Wish this was easier to find in Asia!!
