    Single Malt

Mannochmore 14 Year Old 2008 (cask 3075) - Tokaji Aszú Cask Finish (Pintail)

A marvellous single malt Scotch from Mannochmore, independently released by Pintail. This one finished its 14-year maturation with a six-month stay in a tokaji aszú sweet Hungarian wine cask, which yielded a total of 289 bottles brimming with delicious citrus, sultana, and stone fruit character.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Honeyed apricot and notes of candied tropical fruit, a touch of pepper, and sweet, biscuity malt.

    Palate

Zesty orange peels, more sweet stone fruits, and caramel, with soft vanilla cushioning peppery spice.

    Finish

A touch of herbaceous barley finishes things up, joined by poached apple, chocolate Brazil nut, and baking spice.
