Maker's Mark is a world-famous bourbon whisky produced in Loretto, Kentucky. The brand is known for its red wax seal, which is said to be applied by hand to each bottle.
A brilliant whisky (note: Maker's Mark is one of just a few distilleries in the US to spell whisky sans the "e"!) it is made to a mashbill first developed by Bill Samuels Sr, which uses red winter wheat instead of rye. The result, therefore, can be described as a "wheated bourbon", and it's all the more smooth and creamy because of it!
Fruity and rich. There are lovely notes of spiced honey and mixed peels, a little malmsey, hazelnut and a touch of cut fruit with toasty oak providing a backbone.
Rich and full. There are notes of rye and spice, barley malt, a little nut oil with butterscotch and vanilla.
Quite sweet with butterscotch and dry oak spice.

I love this bourbon the full sweet en complex tastes that linger on your palate for quite some time. A lush drink! In reaction to the first poster: All drinks are overpriced on this site. I paid 18,99 euro for this bottle in my local supermarket (Germany) so that's around 16 pound.
The least best of the bourbons I have tried after reading the reviews on here.
Maker's mark with soda water is a very nice drop. Having the privilege of travelling to the distillery recently (from Australia)and bringing back some '46'to enjoy was very special.
What can I say? If your taste buds are 50% the average count they could not taste the difference between Whisky and alcohol. First is an elaborate chemistry of flavours diluted in fire. Second is fire diluted in cardboard, indeed.
Not a massive fan of this tastes more like a scotch whisky. Missing that rye spice from most american bourbons/whiskys. I'll stick to my usual mid range bourbons bulliet and woodford reserve. That said it's still very good and I'll have no trouble polishing off the bottle.
