An independent bottling of 7 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the excellent Macduff distillery, which resides peacefully in the Highland region. This was distilled in July 2008 and bottled in May 2016 by Douglas Laing as part of the Provenance range.
Custard Creams and Stroopwafels, alongside a light touch of pencil shavings.
Continues to lead with sweet toffee and malt. Somewhat nutty on the palate.
Green apple notes appear on the finish, giving it a slightly refreshing quality.

This really surprised me. The colour is very light and it is young but there is no lack of complexity or sophistication. Reminded me of togouchi premium but slightly crisper and with more bite.
