Macduff 12 Year Old 2007 (cask 13453) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
Single cask Macduff single malt here, aged for 12 years in a refill hogshead - from August 2007 to September 2019. Following a dozen years of slumber (that kind of sounds like a book title or something...), this whisky was independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. Just 376 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Gingerbread, caraway, fresh orchard fruit and a little leafy touch.
Palate
Candied peels, baking spice, fresh apple and pear drops.
Finish
Dense bread with farmhouse butter, black pepper, barley.
