    Loch Lomond Original

A satisfying, subtly peated single malt Scotch whisky from Loch Lomond. The distillery is renowned for being able to produce a multitude of whisky styles, including single malt (like the one you see before your eyes right now), single grain and blends. Versatile and talented, those Loch Lomond distillers...

Caramel, oily walnut, a touch of dusty oak smokiness.

    Disappointing

Deeply disappointing. May be good for use in cocktails, but lacks flavour and depth for those who enjoy their whisky neat.

    OK whisky for price

A very different taste to be a whisky. Weak, but still you can feel its single malt. Good price.

    Mouthgasmic

Bargain £20 in Mc Colls Elgin Hogmanay 2017 . Beautiful bottle feel of quality . Lovely smooth dream like a Speyside . Seems more expensive than it is . Well worth seeking out . Our visitors are impressed

Not worth the money - a cheaper, harsher Glenfiddich 12

On the nose it's quite similar to Glenfiddich 12, fruity, very fresh. The taste on the palette is quite similar however it's much more harsh and bitey but not in a good way. The bite and harshness makes it feel like it was rushed/uses younger whiskeys. Not to mention this has no age statement so I wouldn't be suprised. The Loch Lomond Reserve has a much more rounded and satisfying flavour and also feels better on the palette and finish - however it is a blend, so if you aren't a single malt snob, give the Reserve a go.
