Blended
High Commissioner is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies. It's actually not that bad, with a pretty decent balance of flavour.
Bought as a gift but I was allowed a taste before the bottle was emptied, which didn't take long. Very smooth and very drinkable!
First time trying this and I'm not no whisky connoisseur but I'm gonna say it's a decent little taste Quite easily sit and polish a bottle of this on me own Bottoms up too that I do say
I have been trying a lot of blended whiskies over the past 2 years with the purpose of finding something good and payable to serve as a daily dram. The standard to wich I compare is JWBlack label, also for the malts. In the blended whiskies JWBlack is for me almost unbeatable and is regularly better than some malts. This High Commisionar is the second blend in my bar at 1/3 of the price of JWBlack but certainly not at 1/3 of the quality. At 43% ABV, in my area, it is an outstanding dram.
This is a very smooth whisky at a very good price
Cheapest lower shelf blend in my area but easily the best. Excellent value for money.
