High Commissioner is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies. It's actually not that bad, with a pretty decent balance of flavour.

Great blend and cheap i drink single malt but when i drink blends i have to go for this one. Its getting great reviews so everybody cant be wrong
There is a very funny review on here; titled 'spiced petrol' or 'odious liquid' ... I have to say this is a trifle unfair but I did chortle at the idea someone likening it to toilet cleaner and so on. For me .. as a blend it's pretty darn good I think! Nice aroma, pretty smooth , remarkable at the price. As good as bells and grouse I think, maybe that's why my bottle says it won silver award for something??? Unless it was up against toilet duck or jif of course
Excellent value for the price from my local store at £11.99 / 70 cl.
Bought 200 ml bottle from Booths Supermarket for £9-00. Quality quite acceptable to me, but thought the price might be a bit high?
Very pleasantly surprised this is a excellent smooth blend for the price (Iceland £13.50). I know we all prefer single malts but every day my usual blend is Aldi,s Black Label (8year old £12.99) I will certainly buy Commissioner again, thank you.
