High Commissioner is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies. It's actually not that bad, with a pretty decent balance of flavour.

Very pleasant whisky, surprisingly so at the price . Good for mixing and to drink by itself .
Nice blended scotch whisky. I'm usually a Grants man for everyday blended scotch drinking at a low price, as a litre is £19.50 in my local supermarket. But if they stocked this in litre bottles at the same price it would be my new alternative to Grants.
By far my favourite blended scotch to date, tastes great neat or as part of a mixer, very, very good value for money.
It's alright, it really is. No pomp and circumstance but would say very good value for money. Bought round the local 'quicky mart' for £13.50. Corr what a bargain eh? I'll get another one when it's gone. I'm not an expert but it doesn't make me shudder. Bizarrely (or not) .. whisper.. I recon it's nicer than Grouse!
I have drank whisky regularly since I was 16. This is fine. It was rough in the eighties, very rough. But now it's fine, better than grants, grouse, own brands, perfectly drinkable neat
