High Commissioner is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies. It's actually not that bad, with a pretty decent balance of flavour.

With the minimum unit pricing in Wales you can't buy whisky for less than £14.00 for a (70cl) bottle so this is entry level. There are a lot of horrible whiskies around at £14.00 I used to be a bit of a single malt snob but I've come to appreciate that a good blend can be better than a mediocre or poor single malt. I stumbled across this in my local newsagents. For the price this is smooth and very drinkable, nothing to dislike here, a farmhouse fruitcake in a bottle. Is this the best cheapest whisky around?
Just as enjoyable as many higher priced ones. Used to buy it regularly from a local supermarket but it disappeared from their shelves a couple of years ago. Would like to find a local stockist.
One of the BEST of it's type. Easy drinking with a well balanced flavour of caramel and malt with a hint of apple.
Used to be the cheap "doubles bar" whisky in my local. I prefer it to any of the other blended whiskies and half the malts!
Cant fault it at all. Worth every penny of the £14.49 price tag. Drink with a nice lager as a whisky chaser!
