    Linkwood 24 Year Old 1997 (cask 7563 & 7564) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory)

A rather splendid single malt from the Linkwood Distillery, matured for 24 years between 1997 and 2021. Those years were spent in a pair of hogsheads, which were then selected by the folks at indie bottler Signatory, who opened them up to release a total of 367 bottles for the Cask Strength Collection.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Juicy notes of melon and honeyed tropical fruits, underlying vegetal grist sits beside buttered popcorn and creamy vanilla fudge.

    Palate

Caramel, buttered popcorn, and prickles of warming ginger cake give balance to delicate notes of floral honey, blossom, more orchard fruits, and drying herbs.

    Finish

Oak spice, warming stone fruits, still floral with robust, biscuity warmth balancing chocolate sweetness.
