Another cracking release from independent bottler Signatory, here we have a 12-year-old single malt from the Linkwood Distillery! Matured in a pair of bourbon barrels between April 2009 and February 2022, the whisky was finally bottled up for Signatory's Un-Chillfiltered Collection, without any chill-filtration... Was that obvious from the name? It probably was.
Floral barley, vanilla cream, a touch of sweet, zesty citrus with rich, nutty oak char.
Buttery shortbread, vanilla tablet, rich roasted malt leads to warming, peppery oak.
The pepper continues to build alongside sweeter cinnamon and ginger heat, rounded off by chocolate Brazil nuts and baking spice.
