Created by Distillery Manager John Campbell, Laphroaig Lore is said to be the richest ever Laphroaig! Named after the skills passed down over the generations, this permanent addition to the range is matured in a combination of casks including first fill Sherry butts and quarter casks and is said to contain some of their "most precious stock".
Pungent peat smoke and seaside minerals with a hint of ash and chocolate.
Lively with hints of bitter chocolate, ash and a spicy chili bite.
Short, dry finish with a lingering sweet aftertaste.

Absolutely epic!
A little sceptical about a $200 cnd NAS from Laphroaig, but I do like it. It's def. Laphroaig on the nose, lots of ash and smoke, the sherry comes through big on the palate. The mouth feel is a little like Uigidail.....but the finish is swift and dry......Good at 60 pounds but not sure at $200 Canadian
I have over 150 scotches in my collection and I was happy to find this one. If you love Laphroaig and chili, then this is going to be your best friend. It is a chili pepper explosion with the nice Laphroaig peat. The bad reviews are only from those who don't like Laphroaig in the first place. If you're an Islay fan, then you will love this.
A total surprise! I had never heard of it until I tried it at a friends house. Wonderful. 5 stars for sure.
Having just come back from a trip to Islay, I have to say this was one of my favourites of the trip. It wasn't even on my list of bottles to buy, but after tasting, quite a few times I was straight in for the buy. It is characteristic of many older laphroaigs, being a mixture of a variety of older ages of the managers picking. Defiantly worth a try
