A rye whisky from the fantastic folks of Kyrö Distillery Company in Finland! Made with 100% malted wholegrain rye at the distillery in Isokyrö, Finland, this stuff boasts all the wonderful aromatic spiciness from the rye whiskeys you'd find in America, well-balanced by rounded notes of brown sugar and toasted oak. Seriously impressive stuff.
Honeyed apricot and sultana, baked earth spiciness, a hint of chocolate and coffee hiding in there too.
Rye bread with Seville orange marmalade, blueberry, vanilla, black pepper and another touch of dark chocolate.
The spiciness of the rye sticks around, balanced by toffee and quince.
Complex, unique and nice tasting. Something a bit different
Complex and to my mind unique, hardly have to drink it the nose on it is enough to occupy me for a few minutes. Tried Bulleit rye on the strength of the review here what a waste on money....never again
Amazing, just amazing. Absolutely a surprise. If you expect American Rye, that´s not what you get here. It´s a unique taste of Rye in its purest from i ever experienced. Nice flavours and aroma.
I’m a long standing fan of rye whisky and it’s been a while since I tried something that stood out (blame the Americans ?). Think buttered rye toast. And considering the % it isn’t overpowering. Absolutely fantastic
Trying this next to Bulleit Rye didn't do it any favours, but this really isn't worth the price tag. Maybe I got a bad batch, but this is just an overpowering bomb of alcohol with a slight rye taste to it. If the price was halved this could be good mixed with ginger beer, but as it currently is I wouldn't recommend this.
