The Kurayoshi 12 Year Old
This is the 12 year old Kurayoshi expression - a blended malt from the little-known Matsui Shuzou distillery in Japan's Tottori Prefecture. These whiskies are made with malts sources from Scotland, then blended with Japanese whisky and volcanic-rock-filtered water.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Flamed orange peel and lemongrass, with a touch of rye bread dough.
Palate
Aromatic barley with a floral edge, develops a fruity core of apple and white grape soon after.
Finish
Lime, ginger and a whiff of smoke.
