Knob Creek is a small batch bourbon produced by Jim Beam, distilled in a more traditional style and aged 9 nine years. It is named for the area in Kentucky where Abraham Lincoln grew up, it is said that the creek nearly claimed his life when he was swimming.
The nose is quite spicy and sweet. There are notes of melted salty butter on granary toast, there are notes of toasty oak and a touch of rye with caramel sweetness. The palate is quite peppy and full. There are notes of candy floss and nut oil, a touch of spice and dark chocolate, a little spice and charred oak. The finish is long with a touch of dryness, there are notes of nut oils and vanilla spice.

I usually buy bourbon at around the $30 point but I found it on sale at CVS pharmacy for $27.From the first sip to the finish I knew I found a bourbon I really enjoy. The flavors of oak vanilla and spice were there from first sip through the finish. For a 100 proof drink it was soft and for me that's a good thing.I will pay the going price on occasion but in the meantime at $27 I'm gonna stock up.We all look for different flavors and such in our bourbon and knob Creek has what I look for. So if you like that spice, vanilla and oak if you get it on sale or normal price this guy says you can't go wrong!
Found the 120 proof on sale again with the new label, single barrel. Smoothest most carmely buttery drinkable thing I ever drunk. People talk down Knobb Creek as a noobish thing to buy but it's a great break from WT101 and something special for those days when you don't want any hints of gasoline.
The 120 proof utterly beautiful whiskey. I was a "rye drinker" but then I had some medicinal cough medicine Canadian 100% rye and swore it off. This is my return to bourbon and I feel like a giant popped popcorn corn is good.
Most likely the perfect balance of a great bourbon at a great price
A nice well balanced premium Bourbon. Candy flavor with some spice and light oak taste with a very slight licorice note. I prefer Wheated bourbons but Knob Creek is definitely a top premium bourbon.
