Knob Creek is a small batch bourbon produced by Jim Beam, distilled in a more traditional style and aged 9 nine years. It is named for the area in Kentucky where Abraham Lincoln grew up, it is said that the creek nearly claimed his life when he was swimming.
The nose is quite spicy and sweet. There are notes of melted salty butter on granary toast, there are notes of toasty oak and a touch of rye with caramel sweetness. The palate is quite peppy and full. There are notes of candy floss and nut oil, a touch of spice and dark chocolate, a little spice and charred oak. The finish is long with a touch of dryness, there are notes of nut oils and vanilla spice.

Knob Creek is the first whiskey I ever tasted - snuck some from Dad's liquor cabinet when I was sixteen. So, it holds a special place in my heart. Like the state of Kentucky where it's from, it's got a little bit of everything: sweet, savory, toasty, nutty, spicy, it's all there. It really sings at the back of your throat as it goes down, and I like to gradually add water as I drink it, to open up different layers of flavor. A lovely nightcap and a great bargain too!
Bought this for my dad for Father's day after the name drew a chuckle or two from my little sister a while back. It arrived at 7:30 the day after I had ordered it which was fantastic. It is a very impressive bourbon and my dad was thoroughly impressed. No chuckling while he was drinking it but at 50% ABV it did have him chuckling once he'd finished :) Recommended
Great all rounder bourbon. Great nose, thick taste and a smooth finish. Only the slightest bite despite the 50%ABV. Highly recommended.
Please get rid of that stupid whisky or whiskey? thing on the side of the page.
Knob creek has just a great nose, like any solid bourbon. Sweet and rich dream dram... Let it sit. Drink it slow. Think Kentucky chew. By the way, if anyone from Master of Malt is seeing this, I must bring something urgent and alarming to your attention, and I will email you later as well: it looks to me like there is a possibility that Bookers bourbon is not available on this website. not that I'm knocking Knob Creek, which is absolutely fabulous, but if you r in Europe and you have not tried bookers bourbon get it as soon as possible and definitely get it if you come to the States. It is a high percentage barrel strength bourbon aged 6-8 years that is buttery and maple sweet.
