Knob Creek Small Batch 9 Year Old

Knob Creek is a small batch bourbon produced by Jim Beam, distilled in a more traditional style and aged 9 nine years. It is named for the area in Kentucky where Abraham Lincoln grew up, it is said that the creek nearly claimed his life when he was swimming.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite spicy and sweet. There are notes of melted salty butter on granary toast, there are notes of toasty oak and a touch of rye with caramel sweetness. The palate is quite peppy and full. There are notes of candy floss and nut oil, a touch of spice and dark chocolate, a little spice and charred oak. The finish is long with a touch of dryness, there are notes of nut oils and vanilla spice.

“Really is my favourite bourbon. Rich, smooth, and the vanilla finish is absolutely sublime. I'll stick with this for years to come.”

Reviews for Knob Creek Small Batch 9 Year Old

    Very good!

Very well done spirit with a 100 proof pop to give you a buzz while maintaining a great flavor with limited burn. Great notes of caramel and dried fruit and a great color. I add one or two drops of water just to open it up a bit and I recommend you let it breathe a minute or two before indulging.

    Tastes like the real thing

Best of what is within a reasonable price - if you want the real deal and aren't just bluffing.

    Strong Alcohol Taste

    £39.95

Big letdown. The taste of alcohol is extremely strong and drowns out whatever flavor there may be in this bourbon. I'll stick to Woodford Reserve for this price range.

    I enjoy the product.

I've been drinking this brand of bourbon for several years and rarely buy anything other brand of bourbon. As a resident of Ontario, Canada I think the taxes on this and several other alcohol products are a rip off by the various governments involved but there doesn't seem to be any way to wean governments off sin taxes.
