Kinclaith 35 Year Old 1969 (Signatory)

A very rare Lowland single cask whisky (extremely rare considering the Kinclaith distillery closed in 1977!). This was distilled on the 28th May 1969 and matured in cask number 301444 for 35 years before bottling on the 20th October 2004 by Signatory. Part of a release of just 189 cask strength decanter bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Melting ice-cream, tarmac, cornflakes, lemongrass.

Palate

Sweetness over the tongue with an Asian spice feel to it. There’s more of that lemongrass, with a little hint of desiccated coconut and vanilla.

Finish

Cereals, rye, wood shavings, dandelion and burdock.
