Kavalan Solist Port Cask
From the Kavalan Solist range comes a cask-strength Taiwanese single malt whisky aged in a cask that previously held Port. If you like your whiskies to have a juicy core of zesty red fruit notes with wonderfully fizzy oak touches on the finish, you've come to the right place.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Peppery at first. Thick layers of Port sweetness develop, with a light hint of vanilla-rich malt at the centre.
Palate
Citrus zests, brown sugar, sloe berries, a touch of sugary shortbread with raisins in the dough.
Finish
Citrus forward. Caramel and fizzy strawberry laces.
