A single malt made up of different ages, 13 percent of which is said to be heavily peated... It turns out Stevie was wrong, Superstition is the way!
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Initial gristy cereal gives way to evocative smoke and heady malt. It’s quite sweet and creamy, and reminds us of Chantilly cream.
Sweet and porridge-like. A cereal fest on the tongue, with hints of white pepper and black forest honey with hot buttered toast. Light and oily.
Medium length with cocoa and rice paper with hints of honey and spice on the tail.
$32.77 - $81.48
Superstition is by far one of the best single malt scotches I’ve ever enjoyed. My father-In Law loves 15 yr old Glennlevitt but he’s starting to change to Isle of Jura Superstition. We just can’t find it in the Midwest in the United States. Hope they can find a way to deliver his excellent Scotch to Us! I bought the last 4 bottles I was able to grab from a Liquor distributor in St. Louis Missouri about eight months ago.
Damn it’s good
No other brand matches this for me
I had this for the first time on an Emirates flight and after one taste I had to buy it on land! The deep amber colour alone is beautiful and it smells sweet and smoky. The initial taste is also subtly sweet with a slight smoke . It finishes with a lovely fruity/chocolate flavour that leaves you wanting more. The only thing that stops this from being 5/5 is that certain elements are a tad too subtle and I have had better. However, this is a strong whisky by all accounts.
Very nice slightly peated malt which I have enjoyed for some years sadly the Jura Prophecy has taken its place in 1st position.
