A single malt made up of different ages, 13 percent of which is said to be heavily peated... It turns out Stevie was wrong, Superstition is the way!
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Initial gristy cereal gives way to evocative smoke and heady malt. It’s quite sweet and creamy, and reminds us of Chantilly cream.
Sweet and porridge-like. A cereal fest on the tongue, with hints of white pepper and black forest honey with hot buttered toast. Light and oily.
Medium length with cocoa and rice paper with hints of honey and spice on the tail.

Jura Superstition is a savory dram with frontal sherried and peppery notes with a hint of peat in the background. After adding a splash of water the dram gets sweeter releasing fresh fruit and floral accents. A woody flavor comes through with a sweet and salty finish on the palate. Would like to try this offering with more peat and smoke.
This was a present a while ago. Tried it, didn’t like it so put it to the back of a cupboard. Just recently got back into malts. It’s not a total classic but it’s very palatable on a cold night. Smoky-ish, salty and somebody said pencils which I get. Not up there with serious Islay malts but probably easier to drink if you just want a nice dram in front of the TV. Quite impressed.
Love it, tasted better once it got to half the bottle, maybe got to breath more. tasted all aspects at this point from slight peat to fruit and spice with something else I couldn't identify. Fantastic malt
For £25 this is fantastic stuff. 43% which makes a world of difference. Complex, there is grande marnier, pencils, brine and shiver me timbers. Buy!
I bought a new bottle as i my previous bottle had been lying and corked for about a year am new to whisky roughly a year and half of trying various Scotch whiskies so I thoroughly expected when I drained the final remnants firm the bottle about 100mls ti be foul....how wrong I was....it was rich and satisfying...what a testament to Jura!
