This single malt from Jura joins the independently bottled Old Particular range from Douglas Laing. The Highland Scotch whisky was distilled in 2009, maturing in a single refill hogshead for 13 years before bottling in 2023. An outturn of 345 bottles, non-chill filtered and without added colour.
Polished wood mingles with vanilla, toasted oak, and meringues.
Thick and rich - clotted cream, porridge, and the gentlest hint of spice.
Long with a touch of sea-spray, and a mineral quality balanced by brown sugar.

For some time I have collected bottlings from the Jura distillery and this one is another addition.
