Jim Beam bourbon undergoes distillation at lower temperatures and is distilled to no more than 62.5%, the White label is aged for four years and has quite a high percentage of rye in the mashbill.
Quite sweet with gentle notes of vanilla and cut hay, a touch of fresh corn fields and a little cereal sweetness, like the bluegrass fields of Kentucky.
Good body with notes of toasty oak and all the requisite notes of vanilla and crème anglaise, a little spice and pepper with an acetone note.
Toasty oak and resin with a some sweetness.
For it’s price, this is a good bourbon i think, you taste the chocolate in this one. If you want to start drink bourbon, go for this one and if you like it, buy other ones like wild turkey 101 and woodford reserve
Jim Beam White Label, the favorite whipping boy of most Bourbon reviewers. I like it very much w/ a little water. It's clean, and doesn't have any sort of "whiskey" aftertaste. I don't see it as a price leader, just a good Bourbon that's unobtrusive, well mannered and has no bad habits.
This is by far my favourite bourbon, and one of my favourite whisk(e)ys. Complex pallet, with a fabulous long finish. It’s not a 15 yo Glenfiddich, but it’s definitely my go-to during the week.
Tried this for the first time today. HORRIBLE ?
Underrated. Jim Beam White Label is a smooth and versatile bourbon vastly superior in flavour to similarly priced whiskys.
