    Jack Daniel's Single Barrel

You all know Jack Daniel’s and have no doubt seen its classic whiskey in bars and shops all over the world. But the Tennessee-based distillery is also home to lots of premium expressions, like the single barrel bottling you see before you. A premium version of Jack Daniel's, each of these comes from a cask specially selected by the master distiller. These are chosen for their suitability as standalone spirits, resulting in a whiskey full of richness and complexity.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Good body with plenty of toasty oak, there are notes of corn and lovely cereal sweetness, there is a good smoke note, a little spice and toffee.

    Palate

Full and mouth-filling. There are notes of cereal sweetness, the rye is in evidence with a touch of cigar box and nut oils, a little spice and an aniseed character.

    Finish

Good length with a hint of citrus and plenty of cereal sweetness.

    Great Expression of Tennessee Whiskey

This is what Sinatra would have drank. 2 fingers, 4 ice cubes, and a splash of water. It's exceptional this way. Plus being able to drink Jack at 47% ABV is phenomenal. This is probably a good representation of what Frankie was drinking in the 60's before they watered the original no. 7 to 40% ABV. Totally worth the money it you don't live in the US.

    Love the single barrel Daniels.

This is one drink that I drink to relax at night after a busy and stressful day. The alcohol percentage is slightly higher than those sold for less (larger bottle Jack Daniels) and has a much better taste and scent. I would definitely recommend this drink to a casual drinker like myself.

    Smooth!

Do a blind taste test with regular Jack and you will see it doesn't linger, proof is in your own test...I love it strait!

    Overpriced!

Barely different to the tones and flavor of its mainstream predecessor. If giving it as a gift, Ill be received as a sexier contender to the less expensive bottle. Nothing more!
