Jack Daniel's
You all know Jack Daniel’s and have no doubt seen its classic whiskey in bars and shops all over the world. But the Tennessee-based distillery is also home to lots of premium expressions, like the single barrel bottling you see before you. A premium version of Jack Daniel's, each of these comes from a cask specially selected by the master distiller. These are chosen for their suitability as standalone spirits, resulting in a whiskey full of richness and complexity.
*UK (excluding Channel Islands) and retail only. Offer from 30 05 2025, while stock lasts.
Good body with plenty of toasty oak, there are notes of corn and lovely cereal sweetness, there is a good smoke note, a little spice and toffee.
Full and mouth-filling. There are notes of cereal sweetness, the rye is in evidence with a touch of cigar box and nut oils, a little spice and an aniseed character.
Good length with a hint of citrus and plenty of cereal sweetness.

Obviously with it not being blended, not everyone is going to have the same experience. I was eating at the Bourbon House in New Orleans with the family and we figured they knew their whiskey. I asked the waiter for something extra special and he recommended the JD Single Barrel. It was a hit with everyone. I now have a bottle at home that is so good, I honestly don't know how it could possibly be improved upon. I'm down near the bottom of the bottle, and it has mellowed out a bit from evaporation, but the flavor is still excellent. I have a bottle of Glenlivet 12, which was about the same price. It's an eye opening experience to go between the two. The JD Single Barrel is just as complex as the Glenlivet, but just tastes so much better.
I AM DEFINITLY A WISKEY CONASUEIR AND IT'S THE BEST
Not a huge JD's fan as it's way over priced, But got this just because I really wanted the bottle for my collection even though it was $90. Anyway, had read a review that basicly said, not that great when first opened but mellowed out after a couple of days of being exposed to air, so I did an experiment with a couple of mates that love JD's, more so to see if a single barrel was any better than the regular stuff & justified the price. None of us could really taste to much difference to that of the regular on the first drink, though it left the glass with an excellent aroma afterwards, but after a couple of days breathing, boy, it was a different beast. It had mellowed out a lot & there was a big difference in taste to that of the regular. Way better, but not double the price better. Nice as a once off, but wouldn't buy again due to the price. To many others out there to try at that price.
Drank three glasses with a dash of coke no ice and was dying for five days later.
best whisky ive tasted in a very long time absolutely superb well worth the money
