Jack Daniel's
You all know Jack Daniel’s and have no doubt seen its classic whiskey in bars and shops all over the world. But the Tennessee-based distillery is also home to lots of premium expressions, like the single barrel bottling you see before you. A premium version of Jack Daniel's, each of these comes from a cask specially selected by the master distiller. These are chosen for their suitability as standalone spirits, resulting in a whiskey full of richness and complexity.
*UK (excluding Channel Islands) and retail only. Offer from 30 05 2025, while stock lasts.
Good body with plenty of toasty oak, there are notes of corn and lovely cereal sweetness, there is a good smoke note, a little spice and toffee.
Full and mouth-filling. There are notes of cereal sweetness, the rye is in evidence with a touch of cigar box and nut oils, a little spice and an aniseed character.
Good length with a hint of citrus and plenty of cereal sweetness.
Nice whiskey served straight but by a long shot is this worth £40 more like £15-£20 max
A jack daniel's bottle usually means mixing with coke or burning throat shots. I'm no great expert, but this is a nice sipping whisky and I enjoyed it very much.
Only an idiot mixes with cola. This Whiskey is perfectly worth it's price.
Nose: Very rich smell of rose and cherry. Body: Fine, balanced. Taste: Smooth, charecterstic, prestige and rich in aroma. Doesn't taste like 45%. Feels like 17%, very smooth. * Recomended for a nice moonlight evening dinner with a Cigar. Well done JD !
I tried J.D. single barrel about a week ago, after hearing about it, wanted to give it an opportunity. I think the flavor is ok, the entry is decent, caramel, banana, brown sugar, the mid pallet was decent, but the finish I did not enjoy, it seemed to just disappear, however it does taste much better than the number 9, like night and day. Compared to other bourbains, yes I know it's not a bourbain because of the charcoal process, but I still prefer my Elijah Craig, Four Roses Single Barrel, Buffalo Trace, and other bourbains. This J.D. single barrel in my opinion should be priced at no higher than $35.00, cheers!
