Jack Daniel's
Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack is a smooth and sophisticated whiskey, perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks. It has a distinctively rich flavour with notes of vanilla and spice.
Gentleman Jack is a premium version of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. The main difference is that it enjoys a 'double mellowing' as it's filtered through charcoal before being filled into the barrel (the Lincoln County Process) and once again before it's bottled.
Gentleman Jack is undoubtedly good enough to enjoy on its own. In his book Whisky: The Manual, Dave Broom also suggests that Gentleman Jack actually works better than the regular Jack Daniel's Old No.7 in a Jack and Coke.
In addition to its smooth flavour profile, Gentleman Jack is also known for its distinctive and elegant packaging. The brand's signature bottle is designed to look like a flask and is decorated with elegant, hand-written labelling that pays homage to the brand's heritage and tradition.
*UK (excluding Channel Islands) and retail only. Offer from 30 05 2025, while stock lasts.
Spicy nose with caramel, charred oak and a little aniseed.
Liquorice-led palate with oak and cinnamon, a touch of banana too.
Roasty and toasty finish, plenty of spice and citrus too.

Very nice can really taste banana bread and ends with a gentle spice.
Oak, damp woods, wet dog, vanilla, pine and crisp snow.
I've freed myself from the bondage of wine and becoming a bourbon/whiskey taster. I've sampled near a dozen so far and find Gentleman Jack at the top of the heap. I like mine on the rocks But this Jack is so smooth it would probably be great straight up.
Bought this and Woodfield Reserve Distiller's Select together, at exactly the same price. I found them to be quite similar although this is much harsher on the nose and less balanced. It tastes a bit like it contains paint stripper. I heard it's good with coke.
I am not the greatest JD fan to begin with but I don't mind drinking the regular JD. There's just so many better whiskey's in the same price range. The Gentleman Jack is honestly the worst whiskey I ever had. It's not smooth or mellow it's just bland and flat.
