    Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack

Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack is a smooth and sophisticated whiskey, perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks. It has a distinctively rich flavour with notes of vanilla and spice.

Gentleman Jack is a premium version of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. The main difference is that it enjoys a 'double mellowing' as it's filtered through charcoal before being filled into the barrel (the Lincoln County Process) and once again before it's bottled.

How should I drink Gentleman Jack Whisky?

Gentleman Jack is undoubtedly good enough to enjoy on its own. In his book Whisky: The Manual, Dave Broom also suggests that Gentleman Jack actually works better than the regular Jack Daniel's Old No.7 in a Jack and Coke.

In addition to its smooth flavour profile, Gentleman Jack is also known for its distinctive and elegant packaging. The brand's signature bottle is designed to look like a flask and is decorated with elegant, hand-written labelling that pays homage to the brand's heritage and tradition.

    Fits my personality

love this whiskey, it's my favorite one.

    Typical Tennessee trash

Please, for the love of all that is holy - stop comparing this to Bourbon. I know Woodford reserve is far better at the same price, as is four roses and makers mark. Jim beam white label is a step up. This is Tennessee sipping whiskey, not bourbon. There is a huge difference, like comparing Canadian whiskey and Scotch - it's apples to cow patties. Jack Daniels isn't a palate choice, it's part of a lifestyle. If you don't have a heart in the trailer park, you don't understand. We all know that the Bourbons come in a huge range of expression that all build on the basic principles of 51 percent corn, new charred white oak barrels and pure limestone filter spring water. It is a field of greats - a world of good and better. From bottom to top, you will be hard pressed to find a truly "bad" bourbon - Tennessee is a different world. Gentleman jack is like a ladies of the night, turning tricks in a fur coat. The packaging says premium, but underneath it's still just the same old track marks and two teeth...

    Easy Drinking, but meh overall.

Gentleman Jack is better than your typical Jack, but neither are to my taste. Flavour on this one is quite bland and uninteresting. It's easy drinking for sure, but theres much better at this price point. Woodford Reserve is my go to, and remains so.

This doesn't even qualify as bourbon. Mind you, I don't drink Jack anyway. I am a bourbon drinker. Neat and only ever neat. It's weak and lacks any complexity at all. In the same price range there are lots of better choices. Larceny, buffalo trace, and four roses single barrel are all far superior sipping whiskeys. Bought a bottle today out of necessity today because the backwoods bottle shop connected to a gas station I was limited to had nothing better. Sorely disappointed. If you drink Jack, go ahead you'll probably like it. If you like good bourbon, don't bother, your fears will prove founded.

    I’m sticking to bourbon!

I’m not a Jack fan, have always been a bourbon drinker. I gave GJ a try based on these reviews and wish I hadn’t. It tastes like Jack with a spoonful of honey and some sugar on top. Glad I tried it in a bar and didn’t buy a bottle.
