The Old Particular range from Douglas Laing is known for bottling some beauties, and this is no exception. Distilled in August 1987 at Invergordon, this single grain Scotch whisky matured for 30 years before it was charged from a refill butt in September 2017, with natural colour, no chill-filtration and a hefty 55% ABV.
Dark chocolate with a caramel centre, spiced figs, honey roasted peanuts and mango and papaya tropical-fruit-sweetness.
Through old leather and polished oak comes barley sweets, juicy red berries, quince, toffee apples and brandy snaps.
Long, creamy pecan pralines, golden syrup and tangy oak notes.
