Distilled at Inchgower, this single malt joins the Cask Craft collection from Murray McDavid, showcasing the indie bottler's talents when it comes to cask finishing. The fruity, nutty malt initially rested in oak casks, before wrapping up its maturation in Madeira wine barriques, imparting layers of dried candied fruit and sweet, mellow spice to the whisky.
Spiced biscuits, floral malt, and candied nuts, with stewed apple and honeyed dates.
Sticky sweet dried fruit, honeyed flapjack, chocolate nuts, and biscuity, oaken spice.
Sweet dates and raisins linger, with warming notes of toasted oak, and spiced orchard fruit.
Best scotch at this price I have tasted. Certainly taste the Madeira influence. Will buy again.
