Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1990

A 27 year old Inchgower single malt, bottled as part of the Diageo Special Releases 2018. This expression was matured in Refill American oak hogsheads and bottled at cask strength, producing 8,544 bottles. A fascinating expression from the distillery in Speyside.
Lively and vibrant, with pineapple, mango and ginger leaping from the glass like some kind of tropical fruit salad. There's a creamier shortbread vibe and pine needles too, but this one really is all about a peppery punch.
Loads of oak character, along with tropical fruit peels, orange oil and orchard apples. There's a little nutmeg warmth, along with walnuts and cashews.
Super oily and nutty – like marzipan and orange oil wrapped up in one.
Quite unusual and unexpected. Definitely worth some exploration!
