An intriguing Inchgower here, independently bottled by Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection. This expression began life being filled into bourbon hogsheads back in April 1997, but was given a finishing period of 27 months in a fresh sherry butt before being bottled in February 2020. 703 bottles were produced.
Fruit Salad sweeties, slightly gristy vanilla, granola with chocolate chips.
The sherried sweetness really makes an impact on the palate, with raisin, orange and more chocolate. Drying peppery spice and rye bread offer balance.
Chocolate biscuits, vegetal oak, a subtle salinity.
