Inchgower 20 Year Old 1997 (cask 12516) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
This fruity Speysider was distilled at Inchgower in December 1997 and placed into a single refill hogshead for the next two decades. In October 2018, at the age of 20 years old, the single malt was bottled by Douglas Laing. The hogshead yielded 138 bottles at 51.5% ABV, released for the Old Particular series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Spiced stewed apple, with a dusting of icing sugar and a drizzle of caramel.
Palate
Victoria sponge cake with a good helping of strawberry jam, with toasted and slightly burnt malt.
Finish
Tart berries alongside sweet toffee apple, with some buttered toast lingering.
