This is the first blended Welsh malt whisky from In the Welsh Wind distillery, and lays claim to being the first blend of Welsh single malt whiskies brought to market! Inspired by the journey of the brychan (red kite) soaring over the fields and hills of Wales, this blend brings together a curation of Welsh single malt whiskies matured in bourbon, Port, and banyuls red wine casks.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Malted Milk biscuits, syrupy fruit-studded flapjack, runny honey, vanilla, and sublte vinous fruit.
Palate
Oily oak and toasted cereal, cherry chocolate, honeyed orchard fruits, and gentle woody spice.
Finish
Stewed red fruits, cinnamon, drying oak.
