Highland Park 50 Year Old - 2020 Release 70cl Whisky

An astonishing 50 year old single malt from Highland Park, selected and bottled for its limited 2020 release. Beginning with nine refill casks that were laid down back in 1968, Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion set about marrying these together in 2008, filling the whisky into first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks to rest for another dozen years. Finally, in 2020, the whisky was filled into a single European oak cask, and combined with a portion of the Highland Park 50 Year Old - 2018 Release, which was saved especially for this purpose! Forethought is a wonderful thing. An exquisite release limited to only 274 bottles, each accompanied by an extremely snazzy plated decanter, a fine looking wooden case.
