Oh yes, we've added a 24 year old Highland Park single malt Scotch whisky to our Single Cask Series. The legendary distillery on Orkney set aside this whisky to mature in a single second-fill bourbon cask in May 1990, and 24 years later we bottled it in September 2014 at 57.5% ABV. An absolute gem, this one - a coastal-whisky-lover's dream...
Sweet sea breeze, complimented by buttered popcorn and a little damp earth (Jake says "Petrichor!"). Bonfire smoke, candied peels and perhaps a touch of mint ice cream.
Oaky, smoky bonfire embers continue on the palate. Red delicious apples with the peels still on. Pleasingly oily with a touch of ready salted crisps on the mid palate.
Fruity olive oil, walnut and a touch of home-made toffee. Very long and satisfying.
A fantastic, generous Highland Park here with tonnes of character.
I bought one for my 70th birthday. And what a moment when opening it. Wonderful is an understatement...exquisit is almost an understatement. But lovely in every way. What a great taste and long lastning one. Would defenitly but another one...but I've got the number 12 out of 129 bottles :-D Cheers :-)

What a cask! The best moment is when the fruit sweetness transforms in to a long smoky finish, love it.
I wish the standard HP 25 were this good. I'd certainly be drinking a lot more of it if it were.
