The Helsinki Distilling Company's very own Rye Malt is made with a combination of 70% rye and 30% barley, distilled in the heart of Finland's capital - the first distillery in Helsinki in over 100 years. Finnish grains sit at the heart of this whiskey (yes, they've gone for whiskey with an 'e'), and this particular bottling has been matured in a mixture of American virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks.
Dry Christmas spices, honey on toast, a whiff of pine.
Powerfully spicy at first with pepper and cinnamon, but mellows out with toffee apples, poached pears and chocolate.
Fizzy oak warmth, fennel seed and black tea.
