Heaven Hill. If bourbon is your thing, that's a name you should be very familiar with. If you're unfamiliar, we recommend you become acquainted with the legendary Kentucky-based producer and its wares - which includes this good value-for-money expression. tasty sipped neat, and will be great for any whiskey-based cocktails you could throw at it. Or throw it at. Maybe don't do any throwing. Throwing generally isn't great for cocktail making unless you're one of those bartenders that does somersaults.
Rye-rich, quite spicy and sweet.
Spices, oak, cedar, a little rum-like character develops.
Fruity, dark brown sugar.

"Experts", or, perhaps, "snobs" may ignore this great value, but that's what it is--I prefer this to many far more expensive bourbons and also fully appreciate the comments of the lonely man with only his guitar and this bourbon ("Good whiskey for a poor old lonely man like me. Got no friends, money, nothin but my whiskey and guitar..."--right on and keep playing/drinking!!!

I like it. Not too heavy, not too sweet. Oh.............and cheap! A great deal for the $$$$.
Obviously, if you’re even considering a $10 bourbon, either your funds are tight, or, you are just being adventurous and hopeful on your weekly liquor run. Nevermind my sense of adventure, Im trying to convince my wife that my whiskey habit is fiscally sustainable. Heaven Hill is surprisingly pleasant, and especially at its price point. I do fancy higher end bourbons ( makers, smooth ambler...) (( not Jim Beam. Oof. Black Label is good, not white)) This is a great value, all things considered. 5 stars.
Heaven Hill is a very good Bourbon but it is no Maker's Mark or other good one. He is on the same position with Jim Beam (my favorite)! A good taste for low money. Heaven Hill's Master Distiller are from the Beam Family and some Discounter sell it with a other name. One of them is Clarke's Whiskey.
