From the Hardenberg Distillery in northwest Germany comes an adventurous expression of its Beverbach single malt. This whisky spent its time maturing at sea, aboard a freighter ship! The sea air and constant motion make an interesting experiment, and whether or not they had an impact on the final result, it's certainly a tasty sipper for sailors and landlubbers alike. A total of 812 bottles were produced.
Rich malted barley and autumnal fruit, a whiff of woody smoke.
Soft layers of vanilla, apricot, and floral honey balance soft smoke and oaky spice.
Charred wood and toasty malt, gently nutty with warming cinnamon and pepper.
